Prayer for the Week: Courage to Wait
Lord, I thank You for being in my tomorrow. Regardless of how unstable I feel, how much I don’t know what tomorrow will bring, who will still be a part of my life, who will come into my life, I know You remain my constant (Psalm 102:27). You are my fortress to secure myself in whenever I feel like I’m getting attacked by the enemy and need to be covered (Psalm 31:3). You are my helper in time of need (John 14:26). Lord, I pray for courage when it’s time to come out, standup, and use courage for Your glory.
Lord, remind me when times get hard that it is only for a season (Eccl. 3:1). I pray for the courage to face another day not knowing what may happen but knowing You are already there. Lord, give me wisdom and courage to not just face the trials but also guidance on how to respond and behave while going through them (James 1:5). I pray for courage to speak when I need to and the control to be silent when I need to (Exo. 14:14). Help me learn the difference between the two.
Lord, please give me the courage to wait. When everyone else is throwing away their vows, their relationship with You, going before Your plan, Lord give me the courage to continue waiting so I don’t follow the same path (1 Cor. 15:33). Even if things may seem like they are not going my way I pray to have the courage to still trust in You (Psalm 112:7). I know not only good things come to those who wait, but GREAT things.
I thank You and I pray all these things in the Mighty Name of Jesus, Amen!
“Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.” (Deut. 31:6)
“The wicked flee when no one pursues, but the righteous are bold as a lion.” (Prov. 28:1)
“Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!” (Psalm 27:14)
Jesus, family, ministry, and lots of coffee! My heart comes from being a young teen girl who didn’t know much and found Jesus in a dark time. My ministry focuses on the heart of God for this generation to make Godly decisions especially in the area of purity. A blog for all ages because God’s Word is eternal and has no age limit!
